Program description – The American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE) has granted East Mississippi Community College’s Funeral Service Technology degree programme accreditation. Graduates may apply to the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards to become nationally certified. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has also accredited EMCC.

Program Requirements – All applicants must have either a GED or a high school diploma to be accepted into the Funeral Service Technology Programme at East Mississippi Community College. Additionally, all applicants must have received an ACT score of 17 or higher or a specific ACCUPLACER score in order to be considered for the programme. Students must finish all Funeral Service Technology courses with a minimum grade of “C” to complete the programme.
